Today in the second grade, we:
  • took notes and retold portions of "How Chipmunk Got His Stripes" in groups during reading and phonics class
  • combined and separated shapes using pattern blocks in math class
  • compared and contrasted weather in several different cities around the world in science class
  • discussed the meaning of self-control during independent learning
  • learned about collages and magazine art before created our own cut out art with the quarter three vocabulary words
Tonight's homework:

Complete Math Practice 7.2-7.4.

*Special Notes:

The teachers were informed today that the electives will not be changing for quarter four as there will only be four Fridays where the students will participate in the elective, so your child will stay in the same elective that they had for quarter three. If your child was playing badminton, Ms. Zeng and I have discussed how we would like to expand our elective to include a variety of outdoor games. Your child is still reminded to bring their P.E. clothes to change into on Friday if they are doing yoga with Ms. Kraft or badminton/outdoor games with Ms. Zeng and myself. Thank you!
