Monday, March 16th, 2015

Today in the second grade, we:
  • took a practice IOWA test during language and spelling class
  • identified and extended patterns that use plane shapes in math class
  • went through the various components of a book report and learned how rubrics can help us check our work in reading and phonics class
  • discussed what it means to be an immigrant, and how immigrants change the countries they movie to in social studies class
Tonight's homework:

Complete the reading response handout. The students can write about the Journeys story "How Chipmunk Got His Stripes" or another story that they have completed recently.

Next week's spelling words (for Monday, March 23rd) will come from Journeys pg. 288-289:
