Today in the second grade, we:
- completed a story map for a well-known story and continued our unit on cursive writing by writing a thank you note in cursive in language and spelling class
- pair read and summarized "Jellies: The Life of Jellyfish" in reading and phonics class
- reviewed the key concepts and vocabulary from chapters 8 in preparation for our quiz next Monday in math class
- discussed what it means to have different points of view and prepared short skits that reflected different points of view in social studies class
- practiced reading temperatures in Celsius and Fahrenheit in science class
- listened to and discussed our current class story, practiced our latest class poem and our latest class song during ECA

- Complete Math Practice 8.1-8.5.
- Read aloud for 15 minutes and have a parent sign your reading log.
Announcements:
- Tomorrow is the second Friday of the month, so the students are free wear their own clothing (bringing a change of clothes for P.E.)
- There will be a math quiz on chapter 8: solid shapes next Monday, January 11th.
