Today in the second grade, we:
  • practiced combining sentences that have the same subjects or predicates to make new sentences with the conjunction "and" and continued our cursive writing unit in language and spelling class
  • skip counted by 2s, 3s, 4s, 5s, and 10s, ordered whole numbers, and used ordinal numbers in math class
  • took our unit 2 quiz on the government in social studies class
  • walked through the steps of how fossils are formed in preparation for our own faux-fossil making tomorrow (thank you, parents, for sending in small toys and shells!) in science class

G2 worked on their passing and receiving skills during a game of soccer in P.E. today.

Tonight's Homework:
  • Log onto your Science Fusion account to watch the 5th video of Unit 3: "What Are Fossils?" and complete the accompanying worksheet. The students have already started this worksheet and some have completed it.
  • Read aloud for 15 minutes and have a parent sign your reading log.
Announcements:
Just as a reminder, if you're sending medicine with your child to take at school, please pop me a quick message on Dojo or write in the assignment book telling me when your child needs to take the medicine and how much they need to take. Some of you are already doing this, and I thank you.
