Today in the second grade, we:

• revised sentences by choosing exact verbs (ex: go=skip, say=whisper) in language and spelling class
• created new words by adding the suffixes -s, -ed, -ing,-er, and -est to the base word in reading and phonics class
• completed our review of unit 4 in math class 
• took our chapter 8 quiz in science class
• visited the school's garden to weed, water, and pick some vegetables for our special lunch
• during ECA, we practiced our sharing time in front of each other, listened to our latest class story, practice March's class song and March's class poem

Tonight's Homework:

• Complete Math Practice 11.5.
• Read aloud for 15 minutes and have a parent sign your reading log.  
• Practice your sharing time.
• Study for tomorrow's quarter three exam in social studies.

Announcements:

• Tomorrow is P.E. The students are welcomed and encouraged to wear their sports day shirts tomorrow to promote house and school spirit. Let's see some colors!
• Individual picture day for the yearbook will be next Thursday, March 10th.
