Today in the second grade, we:
- took our weekly spelling quiz and practiced forming the plural tense of irregular verbs ending in -f and -fe (scarf, scarves/knife, knives) in reading and phonics class
- practiced using the past tense of the be verb (was, were) to create original sentences in language and spelling class
- used strategies to solve word problems in math class
- drew shadows of a tree during the morning, noon, afternoon and evening to who how the sun moves across the sky science class
- worked on our forgiveness skits for assembly next month, voted for March's class song (lyrics,) March's class poem, and worked with this week's idiom: "Call it a Day"
Tonight's Homework:
- Complete Social Studies Activity Book pg. 52-53.
- Read aloud for 15 minutes and have a parent sign your reading log.
- Library day tomorrow: the children are reminded to bring their library books.
- P.E. day tomorrow: the children are reminded to wear their P.E. uniforms.
