Today in the second grade, we:
- began the morning with quick review of proper nouns (ex: Macon, Georgia/ Bell Avenue)
- took the reading sections of the IOWA tests
- visited the library to check out new books
- took the listening and language sections of the IOWA tests
- listened to and discussed our latest class story (the poor Poppers are having money worries!), practiced March's class song and March's class poem
- made sentences with this week's idiom: "Out of the Blue"
Tonight's Homework:
- Complete the hypothesis section of your science fair project. The students were reminded that their hypothesis must be a statement that they can test.
- Read aloud for 15 minutes and have a parent sign your reading log.
- For spring break homework, I will be assigning:
- 5 reading log entries
- 5 holiday journal entries
- the experiment portion of your science fair project
