Today in the second grade, we:
- started off the morning with the social studies section of the IOWA tests
- we then listened to and discussed our latest class story (the Poppers' penguins are on the road!)
- took the science section of the IOWA tests
- answered questions from our wonderwall (How does a pearl form? Where do green snakes live? How many stars are there? How far is Pluto from the sun? What kind of animal is an orca/killer whale?)
- checked out the live webcam of a mated bald eagle pair in Washington D.C. (the first egg hatched a couple days ago, the students can check it out here this weekend to watch and guess when the second egg will hatch.)
- took the final section of our IOWA tests, sources of information (Hooray! We're done! The students did a fantastic job of staying focused and giving it their all. The results will take around six weeks to process and be returned. I'll let you know as soon as they are in.)
- started our quarter four electives
