- visited the school's garden for some weeding and watering
- made a little video for our Canadian pen pals
Tonight's Homework:
- Complete Math Practice 12.2-12.3.
- Read aloud for 15 minutes and have a parent sign your reading log.
Announcements:
- The students are encouraged to wear their sports day shirts tomorrow!
- The hypothesis section for the science fair project was due today. The students are coming along. They will need to complete the experiment section of the science fair project during spring break. The experiment section is in your child's science fair folder.
- Kellen: I think that most people, including myself, don't know how much sugar is in what they consume.
- Fiona: I think that fruit can light up a light bulb because fruit has electrolytes.
- Daniel: I think that an arrow will flip direction when it is held behind a glass of water because the glass of water works like a convex lens.
- Julie and Sophie: I think that an egg shell will dissolve when it is soaked in vinegar, because the acetic acid in the vinegar reacts with the calcium carbonate in the eggshell, leaving the egg whole and bouncy.
- Victoria: I think that when you layer ice, oil, and water, the oil will be on the bottom, the water will be on the top, and the ice will float in the middle, because ice is heavier than water, but lighter than oil.
- Mickey and Rei: I think that a volcano on land will kill people faster than a volcano inside the ocean.
