- started the day by taking our quarter three social studies exam
- continued to work with adding suffixes to base words in reading and phonics class
- shared information about our chosen planet (or dwarf planet) and practiced taking notes on others' presentations in language and spelling class
- practiced singing Christian music with Sister Heart
- completed our KWL charts for unit 8, adding information that we learned from others' presentations during sharing time in science class
Mickey tells us about the planet that is most likely to be visited by humans: Mars. |
Fiona helps us learn about the Great Red Spot on Jupiter. |
Victoria talks about the "king" of our solar system, Saturn. |
Sophie tells us that Uranus was named after the Greek god of the sky. |
Kellen fills us in on the most distant planet in our solar system: Neptune. |
Daniel did a fine job of explaining to us why Pluto is considered a dwarf planet. |
- Read aloud for 15 minutes and have a parent sign your reading log.
- Prepare for Monday's exams in math and science. The students were encouraged to complete different activities from the TTT chart in their language notebook to help them review. These activities are optional, and will not be graded. The students will receive one Dojo point for every activity they complete (up to five Dojo points.)
- Monday and Tuesday are half-days, with the students being dismissed at 11:45 a.m.
- I have sent home your child's spelling tablet for them to study.
- I have sent home your child's pocket folder. Please send it back with your child on Monday.
