Second Quarter Study Guide for Math

*Please review the textbook Math Unit 1, Chapters 4, 5, and 6 (pg. 75-172) and Unit 2, Chapter 7 (pg. 173-204.)

Be able to:

-identify data from a survey
-use tally marks
-identify symbols and their meaning from a pictograph
-use a bar graph to answer questions
-look at data and find the mode, median, and range
- decide if an event is more likely, less likely, or equally likely to happen
-read a problem and predict if an outcome is impossible, certain, or probable
-regroup tens and ones (ex: 52 = 4 tens and 12 ones)
-perform mental math with the tens place (ex: 40-30=10)
-use place value to add and subtract
-identify odd and even numbers
-identify 2D or plane shapes
-draw lines of symmetry in numbers in letters.
-identify congruent (same size and shape) shapes
-solve word problems
