Today in the second grade, we:
- wrote sentences with possessive nouns ending in 's, discussed the two ways to use apostrophes (contractions and possessive nouns) and continued our unit on cursive writing in language and spelling class
- identified and pronounced consonant digraphs (sh, ch, th, wr, wh, kn, ph, gn) in reading and phonics class
- reviewed the key concepts and vocabulary from chapters 4-7 in math class
- completed our review on unit 2 and our "Me On A Map" unit in preparation for tomorrow's exam in social studies class
- identified ways that people change nature in science class
- listened to and discussed our current class story and wrote a short narrative describing our classroom ECA
Tonight's Homework:
- Study for tomorrow's exam in social studies (check the study guide.)
- Read aloud for 15 minutes and have a parent sign your reading log.
Announcements:
- Tomorrow is the second Friday of the month, so the students are free wear their own clothing (bringing a change of clothes for P.E.)
