Today in the second grade, we:

• identified and capitalized proper nouns and continued our cursive writing unit in language and spelling class
• counted the number of vertices in plane shapes and identified congruent shapes in math class
• listened to the story "Me On The Map" and started our own map, completing the sections on planet, continent and country in social studies class
• discussed the codependency between plants and animals as we started our new unit in science class

Tonight's Homework:

• Log onto your Science Fusion account to watch the 1st video of Unit 5: "How Do Plants and Animals Need One Another?" and complete the accompanying worksheet. The students have already started this worksheet.
• Read aloud for 15 minutes and have a parent sign your reading log.
