Today in the second grade, we:

• reviewed our weekly target vocabulary and continued to work with irregular plural nouns in reading and phonics class
• wrote book titles correctly and reviewed the parts of speech in language and spelling class
• took our unit 2 quiz in math class
• continued to practice our typing skills in computer class
• compared and contrasted the roles of "pollen," "petals," and "seeds" in science class

Tonight's homework:

• Write spelling words five times and choose seven words to create sentences with (from Journeys pg. 230-244: beware, damage, bend, flash, pounding, prevent, reach, equal, storm, violent, thunder, heavy, destroy, hurricane.)
• Complete Journeys Practice Book pg. 102-105.

I am impressed with how many students are practicing their typing skills at home! Well done, grade two students!
