Today in the second grade, we:

• reviewed the weekly target vocabulary and started reading and discussing our new story in Journeys, "Super Storms!" in reading and phonics class
• continued to work on capitalizing proper nouns and abbreviations in language and spelling class
• solved problems by finding patterns in math class
• checked out new books to read from the library during independent learning
• reviewed the key vocabulary and concepts from our current unit on plants in science class
• discussed pollution and conservation and brainstormed ways that we can conveniently conserve resources in our daily lives during social studies class
