Today in the second grade, we:

• identified items that do and do not keep to a certain topic, started our sharing time outline, and continued our cursive writing unit in language and spelling class
• worked with today's number (32) and used data in a bar graph to solve word problems in math class
• continued to work with borders, countries, and capitals in social studies class
• continued to compare various animal shelters and how they are built specifically to serve different kinds of animals in science class

Tonight's Homework:

• Complete Science Fusion pg. 89-90.
• Read aloud for 15 minutes and have a parent sign your reading log. 
• Complete the outline for Friday's sharing time (some students have already completed this.) 

Announcements:

We will be going on our half-day field trip to Kaohsiung's science museum tomorrow! We will be leaving at 8:30, so please make sure your child is on time. We will be back for lunch and afternoon classes.

Your child needs to bring:

• their national health identification card (I will gather and keep these until your child goes home)
• a small bag to hold their water bottle and a healthy snack (no chips, candy, or chocolate, please)
