Today in the second grade, we:
- reviewed our weekly spelling words, pair read "Teacher's Pets" from Journeys, and completed our story chart in reading and phonics class
- worked with exclamations and capitalization, and continued our unit on cursive writing in language and spelling class
- worked with today's number (27) and found the mode and range in data in math class
- reviewed the key vocabulary and concepts from unit 2 with a game of Jeopardy in science class
- met with our K2 reading buddies in ECA
Tonight's Homework:
- Complete Social Studies Activity Book pg. 18.
- Read aloud for 15 minutes and have a parent sign your reading log.
- Prepare for tomorrow's unit 2 quiz in science.
- Father Prudencio handed back the quarter one Christian living exams. Please sign and return them by Thursday. Thank you!
- DISK's All Saint's Day celebration will be held on Friday, October 30th. The students are welcome to dress up in whatever costume they like, so long as it is not scary! The teachers are planning some fun games and activities for the students that day.
- The G2 students collaborated and each cashed in some of their Dojo dollars for a special lunch tomorrow. We will be making our own pizzas.
