Today in the second grade, we:
  • identified sentences that should or could end in exclamation marks, worked on the outline for Friday's sharing time, and continued our cursive writing unit in language and spelling class
  • worked with today's number (28) and postponed our lesson in data probability to make pizza and celebrate Sophie's birthday in math class
  • compared and contrasted the roles and responsibilities of the city council with that of the state legislature in social studies class
  • took our unit 2 quiz and previewed unit 3 in science class
Happy Birthday, Sophie Bear!

Tonight's Homework:
  • Log onto your Science Fusion account to watch the 1st video of Unit 3: "What are Animal Needs?" and complete the accompanying worksheet. The students have already started this worksheet.
  • Read aloud for 15 minutes and have a parent sign your reading log.
  • Complete the outline for Friday's sharing time (some students have already completed this.)
