Today in the second grade, we:
  • spent the morning at Kaohsiung's science museum!
  • debriefed in the afternoon
  • practiced adding sense words to our writing during reading and phonics class
  • identified who makes laws, who carries out laws, and which branch of the government sees that laws work fairly in social studies class
  • created a Venn Diagram of plant needs vs. animal needs in science class

Tonight's Homework:
  • Complete Math Practice pg. 4.7-4.8.
  • Read aloud for 15 minutes and have a parent sign your reading log.
  • Practice talking about your favorite place in front of your family. You will have two minutes in front of the class tomorrow during our weekly sharing time, as well as an additional minute to answer questions.

*The students prepared an outline of what they want to present. On the back of their outline is a rubric of the points I will be grading their presentation on.

These are questions you can answer:

    1. Where is it?
    2. When did you go?
    3. What do you do there?
    4. Who do you go with?
    5. How do you get there?
    6. Why do you like it?
