Today in the second grade, we:

• reviewed our weekly target vocabulary and continued to work with the present perfect tense vs. the simple past tense (have/has done vs. did, have/has given vs. gave) by playing the game "I have never" in language and spelling class
• visited the library to check out new books
• reviewed unit fractions and estimated the sum of 2-digit addends by rounding to the nearest tenth place in math class
• took our unit 4 quiz in social studies class
• updated our KWL chart, looked at the potential experiments for the science fair and worked on our sharing time outline in science class 

Tonight's Homework:

• Work on sharing time outline (due this Friday, February 26th.)
• Form your question for the science fair. There is an outline of the science fair (timeline, expectations, ideas, etc.) in your child's assignment book.  The students started looking on Science Buddies.
• Read aloud for 15 minutes and have a parent sign your reading log. 

Announcements:

• We will be taking our class and school pictures after mass this Friday.  The students will need to come dressed in their proper school uniform. Thank you!
