Today was our last official full day in grade two. I am so proud of how hard the students worked this past year. They have all progressed, and wish them all the best with their future studies. Thank you for the support you have given your child-from encouraging them to complete their homework, to making sure they had the correct materials for school, to packing them healthy snacks, to making sure they are wearing the correct attire, to bringing them to school early, and countless other waysdg-a parent's job in assisting their child is a tough one with daily challenges. I appreciate everything you have done to help your child reach their full potential, and the support and communication that you offered me so we could work as a team to best reach your child.
Today in the second grade, we:
- started off the day with our standard morning meeting, after which we visited the computer lab to play some games
- made a carrot cake!
- watched "The Little Prince"
- made birthday cards to help celebrate our summer birthdays (happy early birthday, Victoria, Daniel and Mickey!)
- listened to and discussed our latest class story
- had a photo session with Kellen's mom
- played, sang songs, and enjoyed all of the treats that you sent with your child (thank you, moms and dads!)
- had our superlative awards (congratulations to all of the winners!)
- If you sent me a USB for this year's pictures, I sent it home with your child today.
- Graduation on Monday, May 30th begins at 9:30 a.m., and will be concluded by 11:45 a.m. The students need to come in their proper school uniform. The students will be dismissed at 11:45.
- Report cards with a separate page with comments will be mailed home.
- There are some students who have overdue books. I have sent you a personal message on Dojo if your child has an outstanding book.
