Today in the second grade, we:
Tonight's Homework:
- reviewed this week's target vocabulary and practiced identifying proper nouns (ex: names of weekdays and holidays) in language and spelling class
- visited the library to check out new books
- practiced estimating costs in math class
- created a diagram of our bedrooms in social studies class
- reviewed what we have learned about energy and previewed the next lesson on magnets by identifying things made from iron around the classroom during science class
Victoria and Fiona find magnetic objects around the classroom. |
Julie checks to see which chairs have iron in them. |
We finished our fourth quarter word wall! Time to be bunnies. |
Rabbit ears! |
More rabbit ears! |
So many rabbit ears... |
The rabbit ears photo shoot could have lasted for awhile! |
Selfie with a couple of G2 sweeties. |
- Log onto your Science Fusion account to watch the 2nd video of Unit 10: "What are Magnets?" and complete the accompanying worksheet that is in your assignment book. The students have already started this worksheet.
- Read aloud for 15 minutes and have a parent sign your reading log.
- Our final mass of the year is this Friday, May 13th. The children need to come dressed in their proper school uniform. We will be retaking our class picture after mass. The children also need to pack their P.E.uniform. Friday will be the second Friday of the month, so the children are welcome to pack their own casual clothes to wear to wear after P.E. if they would like to.
