Today in the second grade, we:

• started off the morning with practicing our poems and listening to and discussing our latest class story
• identified and corrected run-on sentences in language and spelling class
• matched words with vowel pairs, vowel digraphs and diphthongs with words that had the same element of speech  in reading and phonics class
• took our unit 10 quiz in science class 
• continued to work with time in math class

Tonight's Homework:

• Read aloud for 15 minutes and have a parent sign your reading log. 
• Prepare for Monday's (May 23rd) exam in science.
  Optional:
• Complete the Think-Tac-Toe (in your child's language notebook.)  Please sign each activity they complete. All written work should be shown in your child's language notebook. Your child will receive one Dojo point for each activity they complete.

Announcements:

• The students brought home their pocket folders. The pocket folders contain all of their quizzes and loose-leaf (not in a notebook or workbook) homework for the year, as well as their holiday journals. The students do not need to bring their pocket folders back.
• The G2 students have their quarter four exams in health and science on Monday, May 23rd.
