Today in the second grade, we:
Tonight's Homework:
- started the day by reviewing the key concepts from unit 5 (vowel pairs, vowel digraphs, and diphthongs) in preparation for tomorrow's exam in reading and phonics class
- took our fourth quarter social studies exam
- worked on using quotation marks correctly and had our class-wide spelling bee in preparation for tomorrow's exam in language and spelling class
- reviewed the key concepts from chapters 12-15 and our unit on time in preparation for Thursday's exam in math class
- had an ice cream treat, listened to and discussed our class story, and recited our poems during ECA

Tonight's Homework:
- Prepare for tomorrow's exams in language and spelling and reading and phonics.
- The students need to bring back their social studies and Journeys textbooks tomorrow so we can check and return them to the library. Every other notebook and consumable book may be brought home and left at home.
- Library day tomorrow: the children are reminded to bring their library books.
- The G2 students will have their quarter four exams in reading and phonics and language and spelling tomorrow, which will be a half-day with the students dismissed at 11:45 a.m.
- The G2 students will have their quarter four exam in math this Thursday, which will be a half-day with the students dismissed at 11:45 a.m.
- The students are welcome to wear their own clothes this Friday, when we will have our class party.
