- started off the morning with science class, where we investigated how the addition and removal of heat affects water, conferenced with me about science fair projects, and took a survey to help Kellen's science fair project
- worked with the suffixes -ment (action or result, ex: payment) and -tion (action or process, ex: communication)
- identified adjectives that describe taste and smell in language and spelling class
- listened to and discussed our latest class story (Mr. Popper has finally met Admiral Drake and has a tough decision to make), practiced April's class poem, and April's class song
- Complete Journeys Practice Book pg. 101-102.
- Complete the Think-Tac-Toe (in your child's language notebook.) The
students are directed to choose three activities from the sheet. Please
sign each activity they complete. All written work should be shown in
your child's language notebook.

Animated Hero Classics: Helen Keller - Read aloud for 15 minutes and have a parent sign your reading log.
- Prepare for next Monday's (April 11th) spelling quiz: homeless, darkness, loudest, movement, lovely, brighten, neatness, careful, laughing, patches, spoonful, useful, washable, connection, chased, baker, practices, cutest, hottest (from Phonics unit 4.)
- The students brought home their pocket folders. Please send them back next Monday, April 11th.
- There will be a science quiz on chapter 9 next Thursday, April 14th.
- The G2 students will be performing a couple of little skits they wrote on "Forgiveness" at assembly on Monday, April 11th. I would appreciate it if you could send your child early to school next Monday (before 8:20) so that we have time to prepare ourselves. Thank you!
