Today in the second grade, we:
Tonight's Homework:
- practiced our forgiveness skit for assembly next Monday, April 11th and found synonyms for adjectives that describe size, shape, color and number in language and spelling class
- reread our latest story in Journeys and made a timeline of Helen Keller's life during reading and phonics class
- took a quiz on chapter 12 in math class
- visited the school's garden for some weeding and watering and completed a states of matter chart in science class
- identified key events in the history of Fort Myers in social studies class
- listened to and discussed our latest class story (the penguins and seals are having fun with the police officers and firefighters!), practiced April's class poem, and April's class song
Tonight's Homework:
- Complete Math pg. 345-346 (remember to complete pg. 345 in your math notebook, and to color pg. 346 after you have solved the equations.)
- Read aloud for 15 minutes and have a parent sign your reading log.
Announcements:
- Tomorrow is the second Friday of the month, meaning the students get to wear their own clothes (and bring clothes to change into for P.E.)
- There will be a science quiz next Thursday, April 14th on chapter 9: changes in matter.
