Today in the second grade, we:
Tonight's Homework:
Announcements:- reviewed this week's target vocabulary and practiced combining sentences with adjectives (ex: The students are sweet. The students are funny. The students are sweet and funny.) in language and spelling class
- visited the library to check out new books
- worked with coin combinations and identifying which combinations are greater than or equal to one dollar in math class
- learned about buildings around our community that are named after people in social studies class
- continued to practice presenting our science fair projects during science class
Tonight's Homework:
- Practice your science fair presentation! Remember our good speaking tips:
- Look at your listeners.
- Move naturally.
- Speak clearly and loudly.
- Speak not too fast and not too slow.
- Read aloud for 15 minutes and have a parent sign your reading log.
The science fair begins tomorrow! There have been some changes to the schedule. Parents and other family members are welcome to come from 3:15-4. You are also welcome to stop by first thing in the morning if you want to help your child set up, but don't worry if you can't make it-I can help your child prepare their station.

- 9:15-11:00: Practice time

- 2:15-3:15: Break/Class time

- 11:00-11:45: Grade 4 presentations
