Today in the second grade, we:
Tonight's Homework:
- took our weekly spelling quiz, reviewed this week's target vocabulary, and used adjectives that describe color, size, shape and number in language and spelling class
- visited the library to check out new books
- reviewed the key concepts from chapter 12 in preparation for tomorrow's quiz in math class
- compared and contrasted the properties of different states of water in science class
- learned about different settlements from Ms. Johnson in social studies class
- made sentences with this week's idiom: "Costs an Arm and a Leg"
Tonight's Homework:
- Make progress on the presentation board for the science fair. In your child's science fair folders, you will find:
- Information on how to make a presentation board (all boards do not need to look the same, this is just an example.)
- The science fair scoring sheet that will be used this year (apologies for the dark marks; our school's printer is being fixed.)
- Read aloud for 15 minutes and have a parent sign your reading log.
- Prepare for tomorrow's math quiz on chapter 12.
- Finish writing your spelling mistakes five times (if you have mistakes.)
- Your child brought home their spelling tablet. Please sign it and send it back tomorrow.
- The spelling words for next Monday's spelling quiz (April 11th) will come from Phonics unit 4.
