Today in the second grade, we:
- were updated on our house points, celebrated achievements in the DISK community, and learned about responsibility during our weekly assembly
- took our weekly spelling quiz, previewed this week's target vocabulary, and wrote interview questions for a news story using the 5 w's (who, what, when, where, why) in reading and phonics class
- practiced skip counting and reviewed different subtraction strategies in math class
- worked with this week's idiom: "The Early Bird Gets the Worm" and identified traits in different groups of native Americans in social studies class
- helped Sophie and Julie conduct the experiment for their science fair project, listened to our latest class story, practiced April's class poem and April's class song

| G2 works hard to be responsible everyday with their duties, words, and feelings. |
 |
| Ms. Fisher, Ms. Johnson, Mr. Y, and Ms. Lopez ran a 12k race last week. Well done! |
 |
| The beautiful house banners that we created with our houses will be displayed around the school. |
