Today in the second grade, we:
Tonight's Homework:
- continued to dive into the life of Helen Keller-listing the adjectives in the story that described the sensations Helen herself felt-and practiced using the braille tactile writing system in reading and phonics class
- identified adjectives that describe taste and smell in order to write an original advertisement (spicy ice cream donuts or Saturn pops, anyone?) in language and spelling class
- reviewed skip counting and estimated differences by rounding to the nearest ten in math class
- learned at what temperatures different solids and liquids freeze and melt during science class
- met with our K2 reading buddies for ice cream floats and some "Mr. Popper's Penguins" during ECA
Is this the droid we're looking for? Nice hoodie, Daniel!
Tonight's Homework:
- Complete Social Studies Activity Book pg. 56.
- Read aloud for 15 minutes and have a parent sign your reading log.
- Library day tomorrow: the children are reminded to bring their library books.
- P.E. day tomorrow: the children are reminded to wear their P.E. uniforms.
